Erin Cumings joined the Iowa Women in Agriculture board in 2018. She was raised on a farm outside of Osceola and is passionate about agriculture. Erin and her husband operate a diversified farm outside of Des Moines, Iowa where they raise cattle, corn, hay, and soybeans. They also operate a full service automotive repair business and reside on the farm with their young daughter.

Erin has worked at Nationwide Insurance since 2003 and is an Associate Vice President of Agribusiness Underwriting. In this role, Erin is the national farm underwriting leader, responsible for the profitable growth of Country Choice, AgriChoice and AgriChoice Plus products.

Erin is a member of the Norwalk PEO Chapter, a philanthropic education organization, a past member of the Nationwide Activities Network Board, and a participant in many Women in Agriculture programs, including a founding member of Nationwide’s Women in Ag Committee.

Erin graduated from Iowa State University with a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Business and holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Agribusiness and Farm Insurance Specialist (AFIS), and Associate in Personal Insurance (API) designations.
