Allison Coughenour grew up on a diversified farm in rural State Center, Iowa, where her family raised cattle, hogs, corn and soybeans.

Her work background includes ag marketing, ag manufacturing and ag production. She has been in her current role with Hertz Farm Management for the last five years in the position of Real Estate Administrative Professional.

Allison resides on her husband TJ’s family farm in rural Maxwell, where they own and operate Coughenour Cattle Company and Livestock Equipment. They also raise chickens, occasionally pigs, corn, soybeans. They have two daughters, Kaylee (10) and Waylin (1).

In Allison’s free time, she enjoys coaching her daughter’s sports teams and running her around to her endless activities, making improvements on the farm, and spending time with her family and friends.

She has been a member of Iowa Women in Agriculture since 2019, and she serves as treasurer. Allison enjoys networking with other women in ag who advocate for agriculture using social media to bridge the gap between producer and consumer.
