Ellie Fauteux grew up in Story City, Iowa where she found her love for agriculture. Although she didn’t grow up on a farm, she developed a passion for advocating for farmers. She also was very involved in her community and enjoyed volunteering at various events. She now resides in Earlham.
She graduated from Des Moines Area Community College in May of 2023 with an agribusiness degree. While at DMACC, she held officer positions in the DMACC Agribusiness Club. She also served on the Iowa Soybean Association Soy Squad team in 2022 and the Iowa Corn Collegiate Advisory Team in 2023.
Ellie currently works at Heartland Co-op where she is a Fuel Payables/Wells Fargo Administrator. She began as an accounting intern and became full time in March of 2023. She enjoys talking to farmers and networking with area agriculture businesses.
Outside of work, she spends time on her boyfriend’s farm in Nevada, Iowa, where she’s learning the ins and outs of farming. She also enjoys volunteering, trap shooting, hunting, and spending time outdoors with her dog, Remington.
